PokerStars launches US-facing free-to-play dot.net app

PokerStars has launched a free-to-play mobile app in the US for iOS and Android devices: PokerStars.net
The app, which is also available to download in all market, pools liquidity from smartphone and tablet users across all markets for its Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo games. This is the first launch of the operator aimed at the US market since the company settled the civil case with the DoJ back in July of last year and acquired formal rival Full Tilt Poker.
The PokerStars.net app, which went live in Apple App Store with iPhone and iPad optimized variants, as well as Android Google Play store on April 4th, give players access to tournaments, PokerStars’ Zoom product, and offers them the opportunity to play on multiple tables and chat via the chat function.
